Every educational institute has a library with hundreds of book titles. These titles have to be managed, maintained and issued out. The IMS manages library data by storing data for manipulation on its servers. Functionalities of this module include: Issuing books to students, recording books returned to the library. Other tasks include adding new books to the library database, and deleting old and obsolete books from the library database. Sometimes a search is required for the staff who issued books in case of inquiries.
Administrator generates reports at the end of a semester or quarter to get an overall picture of the status of books in the library. This enables them to see how many books were purchased, how many were lost, how many were taken off the shelves and so on.
